I did contemplate it, but building a twin turbo carbureted engine is a little beyond my skill. I love the RB26 and I wanted that wow factor when you open the hood and see it. Parts are much more available for RB26s than the old L series engines.

Can't wait to get the short block assembled!
Just out of curiosity how much you pay for the Nismo Pump. I ordered one from the states. Just PM me the price. BTW Your build is beautiful, the 240z is one of the nicest cars from its era!

For anyone wondering, the new Wangan Midnight movie is on YouTube. If you're a fan of the show I know you'll enjoy the movie, aside from a few differences and obvious errors, it was quite enjoyable. Even with no subtitles!

Too bad parts aren't as common as back in the day. Like this aftermarket bumper on by fabricators 240z. I believe it was discontinued, not sure thou.

I've never seen that air dam. Not a big fan of it, but it is different!

Well, as of right now the Z project is on hold. The reason, 2 week vacation in July. Need to save money for JDM parts...

Hey Wedge, Yes I am on HBZ. What made you decide to go with McKinney's kit? I think I'm going with the Rick Wong kit. They are cheaper and better quality IMO.

Finally an update! I bought CP Pistons (87mm), ARP rod bolts, and a crank collar. I'm also going with the Tomei oil pump. Not sure when the rod bolts and collar should be here. I guess they are on back order! Pics of the pistons:

Yeah I have the ZG flares for it and I plan on painting it. Probably flat black though. Car looks wicked in flat black.
