Unfortunately, between getting this car all put back together and paying for school I can't afford insurance. But once May comes around and I am on my first work term, I will have it on the road

Came out looking good! The climate control in the glovebox rules.

But, I can't go through this whole thread and not add this -

        please
        please
for the love of your car
get rid of all those butt connectors for the climate control extension, and just solder+heatshrink the wires.

I agree with you. I chose to use the butt connectors in case I ever needed to take it apart for some reason which has come in handy once already. If anything, I will go back and redo the back half if not everything.

Haven't updated this in a while. So here are some pictures of the recent work.

My buddies are the ones in the pictures helping me out with pulling it. I wish I got a picture of me next to the engine lol. Anyways, Its on the stand now, gonna get stripped down, given a thorough look over, cleaned and then ready for the build up.

Haven't done anything with the engine yet. Took a two day break after pulling it. In the mean time I was bored, so i disassembled the starter, check everything over and cleaned it all up (glass blasted the housing, and repainted). Bench and current draw tested it along with the solenoid operation, everything checked out. Here's what it looks like. (boring stuff i know)

Well I'm hoping for over 500hp and anything past that will be grin factor. I'll be running 2860 -5's and forged internals, but i'll update the list with a complete breakdown once i get home tonight.

Ask me any questions on fb if you have any questions. If it wasn't for my full time school I'd be there helping you.

Excited to see one of the better local GTR's hit our roads soon.

So here is a rough list of parts that I'm compiling for the build. There are still some open ends so bare with me. Suggestions are appreciated!

                        ~Bottom End~
-ACL Main, thrust and journal bearings
                        -ARP Fasteners all around
-OEM crank (dependent on inspection results)
-Crank collar (unsure of the company to choose)
                        -Oil restrictors
                        -Tomei Baffle plate.
-Forged pistons and Con Rods (Hoping I can go with Carillo as I have a friend who can get a rather good deal, but I hear CP is the same so I may end up with those)
                        -N1 oil pump

~Head~ (I want to focus a lot of attention on this area)
-Hks or Tomei cams around a 270 duration with at least a 10mm lift.
-New lifters, springs and probably shims to compensate for the cams
-Gonna check/measure to see how the valves and guides look and see if they're salvageable.
                        -Greddy Cam gears
                        -ARP Studs

                        ~Timing~
                        -Nismo timing belt
                        -new tensioner/idler/spring
As much as i would like a ATI pully, I think i'll stay stock unless convinced.

                        ~Cooling~
                        -N1 water pump
-Koyo rad (Heard the OEM rad was rated to 600hp..which might save some $)
-Dual Electric fans with Koyo shroud
                        -Nismo Rad cap
-DEFINITELY new hoses...not sure what company

                        ~Oil~
                        - Filter relocation -because I can't take another filter change under the plenum
                        - Oil cooler of some sorts, but I can't justify the price of a greddy kit when I can very well make my own

                        ~Turbo's~
                        -Garrett 2860-5's

                        ~Piping~
-Definitely getting hardpiping, but I am stumped as to what kit??
-Still looking into my options for an intake manifold.
                        -Exhaust manifolds & elbows (Suggestions?)
-Already have a veilside full exhaust but I am going to reweld larger downpipes or get new ones.

                        ~Ignition~
                        -OEM or Yellowjacket coilpacks
-Need a new Coilpack harness and ignitor pack

                        ~Fuel~
                        -Sard 700cc Injectors
                        -Walbro Fuel pump
                        -Sard fuel rail
                        -Nismo FPR

                        ~Misc~
                        -Nismo Complete Gasket kit
                        -Already have Twin Blitz BOV's
-Gonna need to ditch my RPS single plate clutch for probably a twin plate.

                        ~Management~
                        -Nistune

This is a rough idea. It's going to be a lot of money, but I don't expect these parts to materialize overnight

I will cover suspension, interior, exterior soon.

Just took apart, media blasted and repainted the alternator, also replaced the brushes and bench tested it. Looks good and works like a charm...even though it already did

the engine bay is in the process of being cleaned up, I've put the project on a slow down while i get the funding for the winter. In the mean time i've rebuilt the transmission, there was a intermittent grinding on fourth gear, oil cutters were a bit dull and clearances were out of tolerance so new bearings, synchros and seals went in. Anyways, thats ready to get back together.

Heres it when it came out.

And heres it all cleaned up and rebuilt
