  • RB26 in a GTST ?!? Serious project

Will the motor(RB26) fit no problem?
Hello gtr owners I was wondering I'f this project will work with no hassle!!! I have a R33 GTSt and Im
Wanting to put a RB26 in replacement of my RB25. I've done some research on it already and from what I read it I need to use my RB25 oil pan and the RB26 will bolt right into place with my motor mounts and transmission is this all correct or no? Please don't rip on me for being a newb please Becuase this is a
Serious project that I want to do. So please have serious answers and helpful

    Thanks abunch

first of all. is it a r33 or r34 rb26? if its an r32 rb26 you are downgrading. the r33 rb25 is a way stronger motor then a r32 rb26. wiring will be a pain. alot of things wont work anymore. it can be done tho. just sounds like alot of work for not much of an upgrade. just my personal opinion.

motor mounts and trans will work.
never personally tried oil pan. but it should. or should be close. may have to drill some extra holes.

why go through all that trouble and money to swap in a 26 just for the sake of having a rb26 when you can build your 25 with the money?

a built 25 will be faster than a stock 26..

unless you're rich and are gonna swap in a built 26.

...but then again if you were, you wouldnt have started with a gtst?

yeah. i built my rb25 for 400hp for less then a r33 rb26 would cost.
