Tommys R32 gtr build thread

I got my first gtr about a month ago, since I wanted to put some work in the car before i drove it i bought a gtr off kijiji for 5,000 with a spun #3 connecting rod bearing, the car was in great condition besides the engine and missing a front bumper. The good part of the car was all the aftermarket parts and new parts that came with the car. The guy i got it from says it has around 500+hp but I’ll see with a dyno run after I’m done the bearing replacement.
- HKS turbos
- HKS cams
- HKS boost gauges
- Greddy oil cooler
- Greddy 4" intercooler and piping
- Greddy gauges (Oil temp, press, water temp, and boost)
- APEXi dual power intake elements
- APEXi (type V) fullly adjustable coilovers on all corners
- TEIN tensionrods
- AS front fender chassis braces
- 4" SS exhaust
- Front and rear strut tower bars
- 17x9.5" Work Equip 3pc rims w/ 255/40 94W rubber
- Brand new OS twin plate clutch

Parts that went with car and are brand new:
- OEM full gasket kit including a new belt tension spring
- OEM LH fr upper control link
- OEM rear hub bearing
- OEM shifter boot console
- OEM N1 water and oil pump
- Clear cam cover
- TOMEI fully adjustable cam gears with matching belt
- HKS turbo timer
- Greddy Intake Plenum
- AMS rear HICAS delete kit
- USED: dual plate OS GIKEN clutch

Since finishing high school the cars been sitting in the garage and working on it on the weekends only to focus on school during the week. Having help from a friend that also has a gtr he helped me get the engine out and taking the engine apart and helping me swap over to an r33 crank and new bearings. My plans for the car is a solid daily driver and a great track car.

Good start to your project. Something about the engine bay turns me away from believing it's got 500 horsepower though.

I think the back end in this thing is effed up. I remember seeing in kijiji and for the asking price it was not worth it. Hope you can bring it back from the dead

thanks guy and this one had no body damage that’s the reason I got it, and it don't look like much under the hood but after taking it apart [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

I remember this car being on Kijiji in the fall of '09. Phoned the guy multiple times and never got back to me! My lose your gain, lol. Good luck with the rebuild.
