The only issues RB26s have are sloppy ass builders that don't seem to know how to use a micrometer. The oiling systems are solid as long as you deal with the pump drive and put a smaller restrictor in the feed for the head. You are golden to 8500rpm. I think there was much more wrong with that motor than a spun brg if everything was buggered. A budget 26 will gleefully rev to 9000 rpm IF....the builder isn't a dipshit.
Don't get too compliant with the fact that there is a JZ in there, they are less problematic than an early RB but by no means bullet proof. Stock is a touch tougher but suffer from a valve train that doesn't like to rev. Oiling is about the same.
Don't get me wrong, I like the swap, I have been shoe-horning small block chevys into cars that never had them for a long time. So on a dare to be different level it works.....on a "it's going to be more reliable than a properly built factory motor" level....not so much.
