    • I'd hope aswell, parts are there but i find it strange that there has been no updated numbers, after a build the extensive to just not get around too it? I have my opinions why but thats another day.

            lucky i didn't damage alot....

N1 sucks....N1 can only be use when you are REFRESHING a stock motor...any upgrades . i wouldn't bother..

              • i found this out ages ago.. Did anyone not wonder why felix was looking for a new short block.. I hope the blow isnt that bad because there was a lot of work, time, ,money and love put into this car. I know how he feels... It is very unfortunate that something out of your control can take advantage of your pocket book so badly. Its like loosing a member of the family. I heard it didnt hit that huge #'s but there was something that happened way too early. I just hope he hasnt abandoned his build as I wish i had done so many times. Sometimes it just isnt worth it anymore and it is time for someone else to cash in on your misfortune. Lesson to everyone...conservative mapping and light reving is very important durring break in. Street tune first for 1000km then hi the dyno.

Considering the THOUSANDS of Dollars spent on this car, was it NOT in his control ? He chose the N1 Pump.....and that seems pretty 'controlling' to me.

This project might have benefitted from less money being spent on the 2nd Revision of parts powdercoating/colour revisions (don't get me wrong, Gold is nice) and funds diverted DIRECTLY to ATLEAST a Tomei or Jun pump.

I am not trying to offend, I am jelous - plain and simple. I wish I had the cash to throw at my car and make it as nice as Felix's - but simply do not.

In saying that, the N1 Pump choice reflects the choice to BUTCHER the Carbon Hood like it was - nothing more than a band-aid, or a means to an end.

This car has BY FAR been one of the Highest Dollar build projects featured on this forum - unfortunately, as it seems, it still fell victim to a common problem that could have been easilly avoided with better planning and attention to....maybe less 'detail'...and more DETAIL.

I still love this car, I just think it deserved a better chance at life.

                    • I was surprised when I found out he was running a N1. I thought he bought the high capacity Tomei oilpump.

                      • I saw your car at DJ's garage. I asked why your motor was sitting one the floor but he wouldn't tell me. Now I know. Car is extremely clean, everywhere you look.

                        • It's still alive, just not running at them moment. It's getting worked on though and will be running again soon.

Sh*t happens. My friend blew his 2jz that he had been beating the sh*t out of for 3 or so years because he ran out of gas and put in 87 crap to get his datsun home. Unfortunatly he forgot about the crappy fuel he put in the night before and started boosting it and well, it didn't last long after that.

actually the N1 oilpump was only for break in....then it will be up graded.
but it didn't last the 200kms on break in..and also it being defective, i have nothing to argue.
