The GTR beast is awake after almost 1 year....updated Feb. 1

Haha nope I'm not sure why it came off really. Ever been out on a sunny day and stoped for a while where theres no shade? Dam thing gets hot ouch!

Sounds like it works awsome for ya I want to get an oil cooler but I'm debating wether to buy a kit or piece it together. I was doing some rough price calcs piecing it together but didnt seem like I'd save a whole lot of money.

Ya I'm the same, but experience wise I think I'd get them to tune for me. How does that oil cooler work for you, what are your oil temps like? BTW nice shift knob! I have the same one but the color in the gtr wore off, hows yours holding up?

Depends on the temp outside really.......when it's 20c outside it's about 78c when it's 30c outside it's about 85c....autoxing it gets about 90c in 25c heat.

As for the Momo shift knob, mine is fine....maybe you have super sweaty hands?

I noticed you used zensports dyno for tuning. Did you do your own tuning or did they do it? I'm thinking about going there when I'm visiting Victoria this fall.

I tuned it myself. I prefer to do all my work myself unless I don't have a bearing press or something like weird that.

Pull the manifold off and paint it....you have small girl hands perfect for GTR work!

I painted mine when it was off....don't paint it while it in the engine

Did you take your plenum out to paint it or did you mask your engine bay off and paint it while it was installed?

I'm currently painting my engine bay pearl white... and I wanna do the plenum but seems like soo much work to take out just to paint it.

Garage defend Daryl........I'm pretty sure the balla HKS Kansai tower will not fit over the Borg Warner turbo....lol...the thing is huge but performs the same as a GT35.

I'd be saving up for a built transmission before a built head, lol

I'm going to do the transmission in the winter....lol. But yes.....if I had common sense I would do the trans first.:wink:

Keep an eye out for a Full-Race manifold set up, Borg Warner S300sx 83-75 and a Tomei built head.

I'm going to weld my own titanium down pipe as well to go with the Arc ti....it's gonna sound sweeeet!
