The GTR beast is awake after almost 1 year....updated Feb. 1

Motivations pics, 315 30 18 R888 all around on a Veilside kit, never mind the positive camber. Should look good on the Work rims

Pulled out 100 lbs of the interior, 72 lbs of that was the stock front seats. Next on the chopping block is removing all the sound deadening crap with dry ice for another 20 lbs. Time to start planning out a cage so I can mount my new seats.

Another 50lbs out. Sound deadening, stereo, front rebar, carpet and some trim pieces.
I'm liking the look so far.

Today I cleaned up some more in the interior and removed the rear wiper and fit my Garage Saurus wing. I think it will flow with the Veilside kit.
I got an update with regards to the E3 kit, the finally found their molds and they are making it...lol....3 months later.:runaway:

Wire wheel on the left and paint stripper on the right. By the time I'm done it should be about 14 hours of work to strip the interior,and I still have to paint it as well.
Looks like 20lbs of removed sound deadening material is the official number.

Ho-Sik Kit is "still in production"....lol....Veilside said they couldn't find the molds for three months. I'll definitely post pics during the instal though.

That's it for the tacks in the interior and headliner is removed plus trim for another 10lbs.

Thanks bobbo, I think I should be able to run 18" x 12" -20 in the rear.

I tacked up the rear strut towers now too.

Dash surgery, I wonder if the climate control makes the team, probably not. I need to make room for a dash bar that goes with the cage.

Another 30lbs out, climate control, heater core and flimsy dash bar. Looks like another 8lbs of sound deadening to come out as well.
I'm going to run a simple electric defrost fan for foggy windows as a back up.
There will be no shortage of heat in the car now.

I almost don't want you to finish so I can keep learning from this haha, what a wicked project. Just starting my 20ish days on/whatever I can get off work schedule up Northern BC so I can do a dream project like this someday.

Another 14 lbs out (rear seat metal and parcel tray).

All sound deadening out now.

My Veilside E3 kit arrived today, 100mm over in the rear and 40mm over in the front. The quality is impressive and goes to show you get what you pay for.
The wait was 5 months to get to my door but in the end I received an awesome product.
