  • Installing Twin Blitz BOV's?

    Hey,

I picked up some blitz bov's for my car at a good price. Now I'm trying to figure out how you put these things in and hook them up. Theres an inlet pipe and no outlet, and im not even sure if they are recirc. or atmos. to be honest. Hopefully they are even for a GTR like the company said lol. Anyways, Just wondering if anyone has a picture of a set installed or better yet an install guide?

    Thanks.

    Here's a picture.

lol, probably the most simplest thing ever..

take off your bumper, though you might be able to get away with just taking off the plastic stuff underneath the drivers side in the front, beside the intercooler.

then you will see the stock bovs, its mounted on the same kind of pipe that the blitz ones are, just take that off, unhook the 2 vaccume lines, and the brackets, shove the blitz ones in hook up the vaccume lines and attach the brackets back on, and you are done

Dont forget you have to block off the original recirculation part, its very important the air thats being suck/forced in will not end up in the engine, you will lose pressure!!!!

Awesome. I'm just confused as to the extra piping once i take it off. There are two small lines that run to the bov near the top as well as two larger pipes that feed right off the BOV mounting pipe. What I'm trying to get at is which are the vacuum lines i should be blocking off? (i assume the larger ones) and if I should be reattaching the smaller ones as it looks like there are places to connect then on the blitz units.

Any suggested ways to block off the piping as well?

you can take off the intake pipes in the engine bay and use pvc plugs from home depot. put some rtv on them and band clamp them in where the recirc pipe meets the intake right before the turbos.

that way you can get rid of some of the clutter

ok I got it all in and took mcfly's advice on removing a bunch of that extra piping. Now I'm just wondering where I would get those fittings to attach the small hoses to the BOV? On JPDrift's set its an L fitting.
