  • GTR Rear subframe Alu. bushings problem

Hey guys, ok here it is:
I bought rear subframe alu bushings for my gts-4, which is the same subframe as a gtr. Now on the top side of the subframe, the bushing extends out(roughly 1/2") more than the alu bushings would.
Has anyone encountered this problem before? What was your solution?
I'm guessing that i might as well drill out some hockey pucks and place them on top. But i want to know if i'm alone on this one or not.
Im going to through everything together this weekend so your replies asap would be appreciated!
    Thanks
    Phil

    Hockey pucks won't work.

Just cut your the inner rings in your old bushing to make the spacers. Please make sure to put washer in between the spacer your made and the aluminum bushing; otherwise, the steel spacer will make a way into the softer aluminum.

the hockey puck will work though, the gap is the same as the thickness of the puck.
as for cutting the old bushing, unless you have a band saw, it's impossible to cut them all to the perfect length.
and why do you think hockey pucks wont work? they're polyeurethane and not affected by temperature changes, not to mention they've proven reliable as motor mount on a 478WHP SR for years
