stock ecu has nothing to do with boost controlling and it will certainly not reduce boost when the knock sensors start going.

The maps I have say stock BNR32 ECU does control boost level.

im pretty sure that when the ecu detects knock, it retards ignition by 20 degrees. I dont think it has a knock boost map... but then again i dont have the maps in front of me and this is purely my opinion and should not be taken as fact.

R32GTR stock ECU can pull up to 18 degrees when it switches to knock ignition map.

As far as I know, R32 (GTR), R33 (25T, GTR), R34 (GTT, GTR), S14, S15 have stock ECU's that can control boost level.
