R34 Crank, Which ATi Damper (R32 or R34)

Hello,

I ordered a R34 Crank, and I'm about to order a ATi Harmonic Damper. I was wondering do I need to purchase the R32 Damper or the R34 Damper?

on my engine(rb26) i have a rb25 power steering pump and alt ... so i ordered a rb25 harmonic and all my straps strait and working ...

have you considered the ROSS fullmetal jacket harmonic ... it's rated for 1500hp and cost me around 700 ship at my place ...

I looks like a quality piece. After doing some quick research theres no AC pulley for the ROSS damper. Although my car will probably never have the AC belt on, if I use the ATi Racing Damper, I still would like the option of using AC if I decide to do a road trip.

You order the damper according to what power steering pump/bracket you have.

The cranks are all the same in regards to mounting the pullies.
you can leave the ac belt on wit hthe race damper, just dont have the ac on and rev over 8000.

the moroso dry sump drive also is designed to bolt on the ati for a future dry sump set-up this may be good for you. I dont know if the ross unit does the same or if you will have to design your own drive if you do decide to go down that road.

ross has their own drysump drives
I have a ross pulley, but have yet to finish my build
the one big difference between the ross and the ati is the fact that the ross is permanently bonded and zero tolerance balanced whereas the ati must be serviced and its dampner rings replaced every now and then. thats something to think about, plus alot of aussie and new zealanders use and love the ross pullies.

I went with the ATi in the end, I should of went with the ROSS because it doesn't require maintence. On ATi's website they say 10years for a street/strip car, but only a year or two for circuit cars. So with the way my car will be driven I can probably last 5 years and then I'll have to replace the o-rings in the damper, which will then force me to change timing belt, water pump, and idler/tensioner.
