Oil pressure sensor 2 part question. sealant and dash

Im going to be installing a ApexI electronic oil pressure gauge with brain. i had a couple questions.
First what is best to use Teflon tape or silicone ?
When i replace the factory sensor with the ApexI one will there be a light on in the gauges ? if so is there any way to turn it off, i dont plan on having a "T" i dont want both sensors on the engine.

just so everyone is ok here, i have read 12 pages and found nothing about what product to use for sealing.

white teflon tape.. ive also read somewhere on how to disable this sensor light....

Remove dash and remove the bulb.

Yeah, I just took my cluster out and took out the bulb. To seal my sender I used the petroleum/fuel safe teflon tape. Its a yellowy colour.

Manny you say regular white "T" tape is good?

i removed my oem oil pressure sender and never had any light come on.... lol strange,
