How good are Tomei Dump pipe?

      The dumps can be the difference between above or below 500whp. Why bother porting and coating the stock junk to make it look and perform close?!

      The new Tomei design is pretty badass, one peice cast aluminum! No welds to crack and butter smooth in an out. Why anyone would support / trust china knockoffs deserves problems.

      I dropped for them during my build... it's all apart why not?!

        I went with some HKS dumps and there is a big difference between the two in size and smoothness, plus the HKS units are ligter than oem. Dumps make a bigger difference than you might think.

        I think there maybe some confusion between porting dumps and the exhaust manifolds.

              Just as well get a greddy or nismo intake plenum too since they are much better than stock. Also get a good intake piping setup to delete the y pipe problem, a better oil sump or baffles, bigger oil pump, better fuel rail. The list goes on. The dumps are an excellent upgrade but not necessary for bigger power, especially when funds are low. More power could be made elsewhere with that $650.

                If you're thinking cheap, you'd be safer with OEM and save your peanuts for some kickass tuning. than "built from a custom shop that welded up some pipes/flanges for you that looks like they will flow well", then again, it's just pipe .

                This is my opinion. In the end, Top secret, RIPS, Mine's all started as custom...
                I swear this shop make quality welding Check it out by yourself.

                  quality yes, but theres not R&D involved, you can't know what the results will be

                  its like tuning an ECU by the seat of your pants
                  if your not doing it on a dyno, how the hell do you know if the changes your making are improvements
