So I just finished a full rebuild, and drove it out of the mechanics place for 2 days or so. I heard something from behind the motor making a rattle sound when idleing. I let him do his thing and came back next day to find that car doesn't even start nomore. He said my injectors were leaking bad so i changed those and it still doesn't start. I can hear the oil pump before start but it just doesn't wanna crank. Now were both sitting there scratching our heads. Any ideas?

you definitely cant hear the oil pump, the oil pump only pumps when the engine is turning over.
What you are hearing is probably fuel pump.
So the engine doesn't physically crank over?-Ryan

Start by making sure your battery is charged. Get a boost maybe. Take spark plugs off and see if you can smell fuel. Take coils / plugs out and turn CAS manually to check for spark. If all of this checks ok then maybe you don't have compression?1990 Nismo GtR #283

Do you trust your Mechanic?
The engine is new rebuild and was making a noise which hasn't been resolved as far as you know because now the engine won't start?
You took the car to the mechanic running and now its not running. You need to know everything the mechanic did in order to figure out what he might have changed to make it not run. You'll have to isolate these items individually and check them. .

well from what I kno he only tighten some clamps that was a little loose and that was it.The mechanic specializes in modding 240sx around this area. Vancouver doesn't have many places that do skylines. I've seen a couple jobs done by z-tune and it was scary. Skyline shop is closing down. Only other place around here is Takeda. I might just get them to pick it up on Monday and get them to take a look at it. Its just so wierd to have it running perfectly when i brought it to them and now compression is bad like just like that. Never kno but ya, I might just get it checked anywayz.

Engine turns
No spark (can you check for sparks with the cas, as in manually turning it)
Meaby your cas is loose???
What's your fuel pressur?
Engine only need fuel air spark and timing.
As for the engine noise at the back of the engine...comp test would eliminate some bas scenario's :S03 lancer dead

There are two iddentical harness plugs near the back of the engine.One goes to the injectors and the other the coils. If these are mixed up(witch can happen) you will get no spark,no fire. Check that out. There are only a few reasons why it shouldnt start. Also check grounds the plugs are in order
