Center Console Switch?

This might be a retarded question, but what is the little switch on the center console (arm rest area) for, its a toggle switch with one big fan, and one small fan, i thought it would be for climate control or something but thought it was a weird spot for it, and it doesnt seem to do anything when i flick it? My buddy was in my car the other day and also noticed it, his gtr doesnt have one. sorry for the super-noob question hahaha

Its for the hump on the back panel it has some kind of tumbler fan in it, dunno what its for and mine doesnt work.

ahh, ive been trying to figure it out forever. hahaha couldnt find an answer anywhere. sounds pretty useless to me.

i had that switch on my console too and the fan on the rear deck if thats what ur talking about....its an air cleaner i think coz whoever owned my skyline prolly smoked in the car so it filters the smoke...i took it out....coz the filter was nasty black

gross, i had a feeling it was some sort of air circulation thingy, but since it didnt work i had no idea what for. ill keep it there and tell unknowing passengers its to turn on my turbos hahahah

I have the same thing on my BNR32! The small fan setting does nothing, but the large fan actually turns on the air circulation thingy (black hump between the rear speakers) and I can actually feel air blowing from behind.

You're right, the filter is nasty black and it's falling apart. I want to save weight and just throw the whole thing away.

I wonder if it was an option when buying a new car? And the official name for the product? How about its actual function?

Sounds like a neat option, mine doesn't have that. But I do have a nissan installed "coolbox" in glove box, I think it's kinda neat.

yeah my filter fell apart, i wonder how much filters are? and how good they are at filtering smoke.

I have something like that beside my fuse panel on the dash, I thought it was for a primitive turbo timer or something though.

i dont think this fan is made by nissan, prolly supplied by nissan as extra,,,i took mine out and was tryn to look for a nissan or part number on it and nothing.....the small fan is low, big fan is high as for fan speed....

btw ur best to unplug that switchif u dont need this option because its sitting on top of the gsensor connector and its bending it
