recharged my ac

well i just wanted to share my experience for those who wanted their ac charged since its gonna get hot anytime soon...

the ac in my gtr was cold but wasnt cold enough to stand the heat from last summer...so i checked everything and it was just low on freon according to the sight glass...

so i wanted to just top it up, bought a recharge kit off ebay for 50 bux shipped....1 can of weitron r12 12oz, charge hose, pressure gauge and the thermometer...

charge it on the lowside under the abs unit....BAM! 0degrees celsius of cold air out my vents! and ready for summer!

i had no problem crossing the r12 back from point roberts, wa since i have an ac certification...

thought id share coz i read some of guys got charged a lot or wasnt sure if the replacements cans were ok.....i prefer to get the real r12.

So i'm confused you bought it off ebay and got it shipped but then talked about getting it across the border? I got A/C cert as well and would like to know how exactly you got legit R12 cause I need a recharge too and don't want to retrofit.

im from vancouver bc and i bought it off ebay from the states and shipped it to point roberts, washington which takes me 30 mins to get there....

u can ship it to ur house but it costs more...that y i shipped to the states where they have a shipping place and just pay the fee to pick up ur package...
