Changing Trunk Lock Cylinder?

How do I get the bugger out? It's soooo tight in there, anyone ever done this?

I checked the service manual and it was pretty vague (unless I looked in the wrong section).

I would assume it being held in by a standard c-clip?

bumping a very old thread but I'm running into the same issue. I have a trunk lid that I want to swap with another trunk lid but want to retain the key cylinder from the original.

a metal piece of the lid itself covers the key cylinder and I can't see how it can be removed.

There's just a clip behind that holds it in its super easy, just grab the clip and pull
