restrictors plz help

so he the story i'm tearing down my engine to a short block to install new lines/ gasket kit cause im tired of replacing one at a time and in the process i came across a line marked with a yellow strip under the intake near the rear of the engine now i am well aware like many on here about the one in the line going to the boost solenoid behind the battery but i have never heard of this one could someone plz shine some light on what would happen if it where to be removed thanks in advance matt

ok you got me with that one... I just did a similar slightly more aggresive tear down, and in the process i never found a line marked like that... just the OE boost restrictor. Ummm what does it connect to? Maybe it is an incorreect line that was used to replace a broken one?

no one knows? ive searched on the net and i know it soposto be there but nowhere does it say what will happen if i remove it and i dont wanna have to remove the intake aging to get at it so some help would be greatly appreciated

Hey bro that line runs to you boost sylinoid located behind the battery

im well aware of the one that runs to the boost solenoid but this is another one under the intake that attaches to it and goes to a mettle line plz someone help me out

Could be charcoal canister I know it goes to a metal line under intake

No, this IS the line going to the boost solenoid/wastegate. I too also noticed it yesterday while I was putting my motor back together. There is a yellow band on it, and indeed another restrictor pill inside. I don't know what effect removing it would have, but I would think that removing both restrictors would have the same effect as having both installed (revert to factory fairy boost settings).

If you look at other treads you only remove ONE restrictor (top one I think). I'm pretty sure by removing the other restrictors your boost will lower.
