Approx. 3L for rb20 if im not mistaken.. Your best bet is to fill from the 'fill plug' on the passenger side of the bellhousing. This way, on level ground, you cant over fill or under fill because level is based on fluid pouring out (when full). Or you can do a 3L toss from the gear shifter - assuming you mistakenly chose this section, you can do this with the RB20, however the RB26 cannot be done this way. The RB26 gear shifter technique will be dumping trans fluid in the front transfercase if i'm not mistaken.
If you do it from the fill plug, you'll need a special plunger type dealy; such as this... http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=375209
Scroll down, you'll see a bottle mounted pump. Theres also a grease gun variant you can use, that you fill the tube with oil and use a plunger system to push the oil in.. I dont really like this tool, its effin messy as sh*t. lolLast edited by nelsonmxmarc; 09-21-2010, 11:48 PM.Check out the GTST Projects page and keep up to date with my build!
