Air filters

Still running stock MAF's and want to know what kind of filters I can run with them...pretty sure their still the stock filters with wire frame around them and their destroyed...let me know what you guys are running

i run hks shroom filter loves works great and love the look of it

figured that out about 5 minutes after I said that lol thanks tho....And i havnt heard very good things about those HKS mushroom filters so I dont think I will be getting those

you get about the same amount of filtration with the HKS "filters" as you would if you were to just take the intakes out all together and running the pipes open.

That test is very old. Hks filters have changed since then. Unless your planning going rallying I think hks's work great.

hks filters still use that stupid foam/plastic crap element, that stuff is always gonna be coarser than paper element filters, just go with apex'i, its proven that its got excellent filtration and flow.

I'm running the power intake from Apexi. Got it from JNS for a good price. Like it plus you can hear the recirc so that's pretty sweet. Apparently though, the airbox will still net you more HP on the dyno vs pod filter setup, unless the hood is open. That's what I hear anyways...

Ill be picking up a set of these soon with a nice intake hard pipe kit. Should result in some good gains.

everybody that I have talked to about the hks filters said that they do deteriorate rapidly and the coarse texture of the foam gets sucked into the motor....learned this from a lot of guys on supra forums
