Alright boys and girls. I just recently bought an R33 GTR V-spec from RightDrive in Ontario. To say the least, the car is immaculate. I ran into an issue however, that compounded into another issue. Please give some advice.
My main issue was that my tachometer was periodically messing up. At differing times, the tachometer when reaching rpm's up to and over 3 to 4, would suddenly drop down to one, and often times even 0 and not climb further afterwards. Sometimes, after turning the car on and off, the tach would return to normal. I figured it could be a loose connection around the dash, so i decided that once i install new LED's for the dash i would have a peak.
I then took the dash apart, and after some test firing, i finally got the Dash lights converted to LED, and also the 3 console gauges as well. I did not notice any wiring that was bad/cut. I looked at the board and there did not seem to be any damage there as well. After putting the dash back together, my turn signals failed to work, as well as the clock, rear-window heat button, and 4 way's. So, the only thing that works on the dash now, is the LED's, the normal lights, and the AC/s control and deck. What DOES NOT work, are the turn signals, clock, 4-ways, heat button. i took the dash apart again, took all the switches out, replaced them, put it back together and still nothing. I checked the fuse panel and all are fine.
Do i have a wiring issue with the dash? Is it something else that i have over-looked?
what is going on with the Tachometer?
