safe boost with stock turbos on R32 GTR?

Hey guys I am planning to purchase a boost controller and maybe chip my ecu with a dynotune. What do you guys think a safe boost level would be if i didnt want to upgrade my fuel systems,oil pump, water pump ect.. at least not till im ready for a rebuild.

I was thinking to tuning it to maybe 10psi?

13 PSI is safe no prob on stock turbos.

is it all 100% stock?... the oil pump is always a questionable unit.... so your on your own with that estimate of keeping up... lol
but the fuel system can handle 13 psi on stock turbos no problemo.

yeah the only performace mods i have are pod filters and full 3inch exhaust. I just dont really want to upgrade the oil pump till I do a rebuild.

Fuel System can definitely handle more than T28's can dish out. Oil pump will only be a concern if you over rev your engine or are tracking it hard or drive like you are tracking it hard.

13psi is the max you will want to push old t28's and that could still finish them off. Ceramic gets brittle as it get old and has been heat cycle like mad. Lots of oil in your turbo/IC piping could be a sign to go easy on them. Also look for oil caking on the outside of the turbo's particularly the back one. It usually goes first. 15psi was the max when they were brand new.

1.2bar is also doable on stock turbos. It's not like you're gonna reuse them ever again if they did wear out

Go to 16 psi and have a blast man. When and if the turbos blow then upgrade them and have even more fun!

Why push the turbos to failiure and risk damaging more than the turbos ?

Well that's a good point. Stick with the 14 and if they slowly die out just get then built with a steel wheel or replace with bigger and better ones

I lol'ed at the guy that the boost controller fried all of the sudden and went to 2bar full throttle on the stock turbines... and that his exhaust coughed up the wheel the next day.
