  • RB26 Stock injector HP limit?

    searched and searched, couldn't find a definite answer, so i come to GTRC first for the questions...

    how far can those 440's go?

  • #2
    rule of thumb that is good is crank hp per CC... BUT that's pushing your limits and you have less safety fuel so to speak. 400hp is doable I'm sure but that's tight on fuel. You COULD do twin rails with 2 sets of 444s to get 800hp technically lol.

      SO... i poked around my engine bay... looks to have Denso 550cc injectors....

      another noob question, what can i wind those up to? 550chp@100%?

      doesn't other mods factor into the equation? FMIC, ehaust, turbo ect ect?

      just getting on the dyno soon, and trying to figure out what i'll be expecting my safe MAX will be... aiming for over 500wheel though... at least...

        all the stuff you mentioned is a good idea to hit a safe 500hp

          here's my basic power set up...

          > > T4 Precision T61 turbo .58 hotside, "a/r 70" coldside

          > > TiAL 38mm waste gate
          > > Trust 4" FMIC w/HKS piping
          > > 3"/4" HKS super dragger exhaust
          > > 3" downpipe
          > > possible internals (has ARP head studs, unsure of what else is inside

          car dyno'd at 400/347 @ 12.5psi when to HKS boost controller took a ****, and had to run off of TiAL WG alone...

          was initially aiming for 550whp solid, but now to find out i've got 550cc injectors, i'm a bit worried i may have to settle for 500who

                550whp is a bit much on your mild mods.

                  444cc -> 400bhp
                  555cc -> 500bhp
                  thats while keeping them under 90% duty cycle
                  under 80% is best for reliability and longevity

                    cool deal, i thought 500 was attainable, and no matter the injector size, was thinking of telling my tuner to stop at 500 anyways...

                    seems like a nice round number for a car this size, keeping it daily drivable and reliable.

                    thanks for not flaming my noob questions guys!!

                    GTRC and SOUSA are two of the best forums i'm on!
