    Guys,
You can't assign power / torque gains to isolated mods. The biggest gains are always related to opening up the biggest bottleneck. If you change cams, but keep oem exhaust and intake, you'll probably see only modest gains. If you upgrade everything, crank up the boost, and wonder why you're not making more power, try a higher lift and duration cam. Debottlencking FTW!!!
The cam timing thing is relate to more than just the camshaft. When you deck your block and head, you change the center to center distance between the cams and crank. This changes cam timing. (If you have doubts, look up how variable cam timing works.) After any rebuild, you need to degree the cams or you'll be leaving some power and torque on the table.
