NISMO short shifter for R32 p/n 32839-RN595

Hey guys

So when I drop the new shifter down into the collar I barelly grab 3rd and 4th gear and pops out when I try to shift over to 1st, 2nd, 5th and R? arg!

Has anyone else done this upgrade? do I need a diff collar?

I am gonna go stare at it some more and see what I can figure...

If you have a rb25 shifter in a GTR it does the same thing. I dont have fast to look up the part but if I seen a pic of the shifter I could tell easy enough.

I am leaning towards the spacer is aftermarket and sits 2 high with all the bits in. I understand I need a c clip but my bits sit 2 high to get a c clip in?

Not sure if this is a stock GTR shifter?

Old one top and NISMO one bottom. Notice the short neck which is having a hard time grabbing gears arg!

Can anyone tell me how thick the Alloy spacer is supposed to be? if it were not so tall I am thinking the short neck of the NISMO shifter will grab gears better...

I figured it out. The shifter and spacer that was in my car was aftermarket. removed the spacer and realized all I needed was a c clip. 5 dollar part... 23 dollars shipped from Japan! kinda wish I lived in Japan! ha
