  • cool G-sensor modification

Basically what its saying is that by changing the postion or the voltage output the G-sensor you can change the cornering and acceleration characteristics of the skyline, like by rotating it 90 degrees that reverses the lateral and longitudinal sensors, with the longitudinal now being sensitive to sideways motion(and being that the longitudinal has more control over the torque split) that improving cornering characteristics.

Theres more but i'll let you guys read the rest, enjoy.

Im going to have to try this out!! what a find!!

There's a DIY rotating switch part to that article that allows you to vary torque to front wheels. Basically have settings for dry, wet conditions.

On N1 R34GTR racecar at Nurburgring they had buttons you press to reset ABS, torque split when racetrack gets wet.

Most buy a Field Torque Split controller -

have you tried rotating the sensor cobra?? I'm intrested in seeing if the change is really noticable.

That switch for dry or wet conditions would be very usefull to have.

so pretty much... a skylab TSC?

I guess so, but the TSC has no effect in straight line accelerating, only when accelerating while turning, so when coming out of a turn you could apply more throttle while not having that damn over steer(attesa limits the amount of torque to the front wheels while accelerating during cornering)

This was posted a while back. If you just rotate the sensor it will handle great in the dry, and like **** in the wet. (from what I remember)

              TSC is optimal.

I'd rather have a splitter customized like that guy than buying a module since you could set it up anywhere on the dash and to your tastes. Great find!

Yea its definetly a cost effective modification. I think the TSC unit functions in the same way by altering voltage outputs but its probably a bit more complicated, I'll probably be picking one up soon.

It works.. take a corner at X speed at OEM setting then take the same corner at X speed with the TSC setted at 8-10. You will notice the difference.

BUT watch out!!! One time I forgot I put the setting back to OEM and took the corner like I had my TSC setted to 10... damn... I got scared I must admit lol..
