Hey guys, I recently had a motor swap done by Glen over at Coombs Country Auto (he did a fantastic job btw). Everything turned out fine, great oil pressure, smooth running, apparently 150 psi across all, new clutch and a nice tight gearbox. The problem I'm having is the fact that at about 3000 rpm the thing sputters like crazy, leaks boost (while only producing about 0.3-0.4 bar) and can barely maintain highway speeds. Not to mention I burned nearly HALF A TANK driving between Parksville and Nanaimo (about 30 clicks each way). Glen seems fairly convinced its a MAF problem, and we're going to be swapping mine out for his to test it soon, which, reading up on it, sounds like this could be the likely cause of all these symtoms. I just wanted to see if anyone else had these same problems and/or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

MAFs or O2 sensor. GTR's in stock form aren't too hard on gas, 10-12L/100km is what I got, even less sometimes if it was only highway (thats around 700km per tank, 60km for half tank thats too much).

Yeah I knew that was way too high. With my last motor it was similar to what you're getting, around 9-10 liters to 100kms. Ok, thanks for the imput.
