Refreshing a RB26 ; What would you do?

Guys... my car is fine, I never wanted to put a built thread online for personal reason so I'm not going to brag how good my GTR is.

MY MOTOR IS FINE!! I'm about to put something close to 500whp on it and I know it's stock form might blow up pretty fast so I want to upgrade it BEFORE IT BREAKS.

If it's stock and in top shape, shouldn't your weakest link at 500whp simply be your hardware (fuel and turbines), not the engine itself? At that power I wouldn't see how it could blow up if you did your hardware right IMHO (other than the oiling starvation and pump drive issue if you're tracking her). If the engine's good, a good tune under mild boost would suffice to make that power reliably.

I'm not speaking from experience, I'm speaking from observation, so take my opinion for what it's worth ;P

If you are going to work the crank dump some arp Rod bolts and a collar drive if it has a small oil pump drive.
You guys got 94oct.Thats a 1.5mm mls at least for 21-psi on pump gas.people go with higher compression set ups which requires top race fuel or even alcohol.
Re flashing your stock ecu should be enough.
Friend here made 700hp on a stock rb26 motor.Just a couple of bolt ons and race fuel but this was long time ago.I really wouldn't go for 700 but 500.Its a walk in the park for a rb26.
