I'll be in when I tear my engine down , hopfully it won't be for a while as it only has 30k on it

No worries. Flow rate on the N1 remains the same, no need for screw as the it a very tight press fit.

thanks for explaining. sorry for asking too many questions.
do you also drill holes for set screws?
does the pump flow more than stock?

I'm not ready yet but I think at this point I'll be going this route.
Thanks for posting.

No, as you would do with the jun collar, you need to machine away the flats.

I am about to put an order in for 5 more N1 gears, Priced at £430, if you guys do it as a group you should be able to save on postage costs, fully insured is around £60 to Canada.

I can't find a link to buy that supertec racing spline drive pump or pricing etc.

That is the only way to go. That flat drive setup is a total joke...I still shake my head when I think about that one. The GM LS motors use the same drive and the failure rate of the pumps can be counted on one hand. An N1 with this drive will supply 90% of the builds out there.Originally posted by FRRACER View PostBetter option here:
The slack with Reimax was just shocking, more than the optimal clearance needed for a flat drive setup! I cannot accept that so the Spline drive will be the best option going forward.

Everything "can" fail. Which is significantly different from "will" fail. You can kill anything depending on your driving habits.
I'm on a stock pump, oil cooler, 427whp, never shift above 8g rpm and track the $hi+ out of my car. No issues yet.
I've got 156k on the odo.
Due diligence is prudent while building but IMO there's a lot of paranoia on this subject.
Just wanted to put my .2 in.
