Greddy T88 34D is hitting the valve cover


Does anyone know why this Turbo is hitting the valve cover? GReddy/Trust turbo manifold, and greddy turbo T88 34d. Im just trying to figure out what going on here unless the gasket from turbo to manifold (is on order)is thick. thanks guys

Wow I haven't heard of this when using greddy products with greddy products. I wish I could help you. Nice setup though

My turbo is just about touching the valve cover. I would say that there is about 1/8th of an inch of room, so little that I don't think I can fit a ribbon of header wrap in there, let alone a turbo blanket.

The only thing I can think of is that you need to use Trust exhaust gaskets (they are thicker than stock IIRC) or double up on the stockers (head to manifold) to space the turbo flange outwards a bit more. As a last resort, you can take the manifold to a machine shop and have them angle mill the head to manifold flange to rotate the whole works downward a touch (which will also push the turbo away from the head). You really have to make sure that it's your only option though as making the flange thinner (only the bottom side anyway) will make it a bit more leak prone.
