There's more to it then just squeezing the hose. There are other places it can draw air from. I just ordered a new IACV this afternoon. Nissan had one in Vancouver so it'll be the end of next week/early the following week before it gets here.
I'm still not sure if this is causing my high idle but I've exhausted virtually everything else.

i was at my mechanics house and the car was idleing at 2000 rpm i had yo go so he just inpluged the iacv valve and it dropped it to 1300 rpm so now I'm wondering i fit could be the tps or air regulator or vacum leak or coolant temp sensor or mafs ...... lol to many things can cause high idle by the way can i aski what your paying for your iacv

I don't mind at all! It was $156 taxes in. I would HIGLY suggest taking the car to Nissan and plugging in their Consult. It MAY answer all or some of your questions.
I have twice and both times eliminated a number of possibilities. They charged me $100 each time but I feel it was good value.

Brand new from the parts counter at my friendly local Nissan Dealer!
My AAC valve was closed to 2% aswell. The computer is comanding an idle of 950 RPM and not getting it so it's making every effort to cut the RPM down. The only real option it has is to shut the AAC valve. You probably find your car is running/idling quite rich?
