S.O.S help with my suspension!!!

Hey guys, so today i did the idiodic move of playing with the adjustments on my gtr shocks , they are OEM and i was just wondering if the was an easy way to get them dialed in properly, i want to drift so i would like a stiff setting..

unless you can adjust the gtrs but i know the gts cant

stock gtr cant be dialed in. The aftermarket ones are what you are looking for. buy a set of coilovers and dial them in.

you say you've played with the adjustments?... if you adjusted anything on your "oem" gtr suspension.. then it probably isn't oem lol... get a picture of the shocks and tops, we'll see right away whats up./

sorry guys, im new to the nissan scene, ive been in subaru my whole life, they are Nismo G-attack S-tune suspension, i have the manuel here (in japanese) it looks as though they have 5 settings, now i just need to figure out how to tune them the same XD loll if i can figure out how..

what kind of "adjustments" were you playing with? stock GTR shocks are not adjustable..

to help this thread out he probably has these:


He is most likely talking about the damper adjustments at the top. Turning the screw at the top counter clockwise should create a softer setting turning it clock wise will then created a harder setting, it's easiest to turn it to full soft (full counter clockwise) and adjust clockwise by each click until you find the correct setting you would like.

I tried counter clockwise but there is no "stopper" nor does it stop clicking...sorry i iz a nub...and yea those are the shocks i have.

You should be really careful doing this.

I had a set of Tein SS on my prelude and I found them to be extremely fragile when adjusting dampening using that top screw. I was told my a tech at Tein that if you go past the designed "stopper" you can damage the suspension and lose all adjustment ability.
