How often do you punch it at 2000 RPM? Most people downshift and the boost it almost instantly on for almost all the turbos... Well not the T88 and such. In there case you have to down shift again hehe.03 lancer dead

No doubt the -7 or GT-SS will spool earlier. Neither will spool as early as the OEM squirrels on my 335i and there's STILL a delay from when I 'punch it' and when my seat backs start to earn their keep.
If you want instant torque, you want a naturally aspirated engine. If you want a more flexible, tunable, scalable platform then forced induction is for you.
-7? -5? Both will be fun, but in different ways. Don't just think about it.... DO IT!

Cams will be bought on monday, first i wanted to go with JUN 264 cams with the GT-SS Kit but adam gots pretty nice Tomei 260° Poncams in stock so i couldnt resist hehe, so still needs my injectors and fuel pressure regulator and than my ecu can be mapped.
what do u guys think how much hp/torque i will get out of the RB26 with GT-SS Kit, 1.2 - 1.4bar pressure, 260° Tomei Toncams (9.15mm lift IN/EX) and 550/555cc injectors?the turbo lag is just the anticipation of the boost pressure
