Hi All, hoping for some advice to make sure I'm not missing anything.
I am in the process of changing out the stock turbos on my car for a pair of Garrett GT2560R-5 that I was lucky enough to pick up from Cortexx when he decided to go with Tomei's for his build.
He gave me lots of good advice for pulling them out, and we're almost there.
My question is for putting them back in and getting the car running.
I am changing them because I have a blown rear turbo, not because I am looking for a big power boost for my car.
Other than new gaskets, rubber hoses and new hose clamps is there anything else I need to do before reassembling?
I have some oil restrictors, are those needed even if I am using the stock feed lines?
What about the waste gate actuators? Do I need to tweak or adjust those prior to putting the new turbos on?
Once everything is back in and together, is there a breaking in procedure for new turbos?
Thanks in advance for your help.
