  • Facepalms for me

Discount Tire Direct sent me M12x1.5 lug nuts with my new rims.

I tried to force the first one on and ruined the **** out of a stud.

By now you're probably wondering, why I am such a retard? My best answer is that I was so excited to get my new rims on that I wasn't thinking.

Now we've established that I am, in fact, a retard. Can someone tell me how to fix this? She's supposed to go for an alignment tomorrow morning. ****.

Google "how to replace a wheel stud"

Not Skyline specific but that's your only option at this point. Don't think you can rethread a stud.

As for your alignment, you can secure a wheel with 4 lugs and get it to the alignment shop. Wouldn't recommend driving hard but he can adjust your stance with 4 lugs instead of 5.

Thanks mfroese, this isn't as bad as I thought It was going to be.

I should be able to get an M12x1.5 stud at NAPA or any usual autoparts store right?

Isn't M12x1.5 what got you into this mess in the first place? Buy a proper M12x1.25 stud and replace that AND get new lug nuts that are M12x1.25.

When trying to take off the caliper, I can't get at the bolt at the top because it is blocked by a metal tube. All other three bolts came out just fine but the one at the top is blocked. I tried loosening the bolt attaching the metal tube to the caliper but black fluid started leaking out.

Forgive me, I don't know a lot about this.

EDIT: I think it's the brake line, its in the way of the fourth bolt at the top of the caliper. How do I deal with this?

              Okay, I figured it out.

Got the stripped stud out and on my way to autovalue to get a new one.

Anyone know where I can get a set of M12x1.25mm tuner lug nuts in calgary?
