  • Stock Boost Gauge Sensor Removal???

    Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to install my new boost gauge and I'd like to use the same vac source as the stock gauge. My question is, if I remove the stock boost sensor will it cause any drivability issues or will the stock gauge just stop working? It would be great if I could just remove it and install the new sensor in the same place, but not if the stock EMS needs to talk to that sensor.

    Anyone know what will happen?

    Thanks!

The gauge comes with a t-fitting. I know thats an option, I just don't think there is any point in keeping the sensor for the stock boost gauge under the hood if its not doing anything.

if you are talking about the sensor thats on the drivers side firewall then yes it still needs to have a line going to it other wise your car will run in limp mode. just T into there and its all good, thats what i did

wont hurt anything leaving it in there and if you wanted to sell that gauge sometime down the road or something would be easy to hook stocker back up. youll just have 2 boost gauges one good one and the stock shitty one. pluss you wont have a dead needle in the cluster
