i have service records that indicate that this is not true

at any rate, due to lack of time to tear the engine apart, i am now selling the shell

Sorry to hear man. Hope you can get most of your money back. I had a similar issue with my RB20, turned out my crankcase pressure was too high, causing my dip stick to shoot oil everywhere.

yeah, i'm expecting to take a loss on it, i'm more pissed off because i am capable of fixing it, just no time.
