  • Hicas wobbling?

So as im driving my rear end seems to have a mind of it's own and I'm pretty sure my hicas is acting up and activating when it's not suppose too. Any suggestions other then deleting it?

Check your rear ball joints if you're not getting a code (dash warning light), especially if the wobble is at <80kph since the system only engages past that speed.

My HICAS acts up every so often. If I'm on the highway doing over 80 km/h, the rear end steps out and the car crab walks until I get back down below 80, at which point the rear wheels turn back to neutral and the car is no longer walking sideways.

I think a wobbling motion would be more ball joint/something is worn related.

I was having this problem above 80mph. I put in a delete bar. HICAS is retarded. Nobody needs that garbage.

Are you playing to much Dubstep?

                lmao im just kidding. Sorry.

Yeah I would just get rid of the whole system straight up. One less thing to worry about. Plus there's advantages with deleting it. Im trying to find a lock bar as well. I saw them for 50$ at one point!

its @#$%ing scary! especially when you're doing 140 kmh and she starts to do the watoosie. also i found something cool just a while ago while i was doing hicas research. you can enter a hicas diagnostic mode. heres how i did it and its blody cool you can actually see the rear tires move. with the steering wheel centered turn the car to the run position (enigine running) and turn the wheel from left to right 5 times then bress the brake 5 times. hicas light will start to flash. to enter full diagnostic mod, while the hicas light is flashing creep the car forward about 5 meters WITHOUT exceeding 10 kph. your hicas light should now be flashing a code starting with long flashes then short flashes followed by 10 short flashes. to find your code if present just google hicas codes. pretty neat stuff

www.jmdlegion.com/assets/skyline_book.pdf <----- this is the little write up i found it on. also tells you how to enter your ecu diagnostic and how to reset your stock ecu to factory settings

Had the same issue. Give Daryl at RightDrive a call. He just got a Tomei lock out kit for my car, and solved the problem instantly.

no only about 20 degrees to the left and then to the right. from 10 to 2 five times then the brake five times. if done correctly your hicas light will start to blink
