  • can you do with no BOV?

just wondering if you can run without BOV? i cant seem to find a bov in my rb26 even the stock ones.

You can, and some do. I read up on it at one point and someone had measured intake manifold pressure during shifts. If my memory is right it showed some pressure spikes and oscillations when the throttle plates closed and there was nowhere for the airflow to go.

I think the jury is out on whether or not the measured pressures would hurt the turbos, but I've elected to run with BOV's.

you should have 2 recirculation valves behind the front bumper on the driver's side

an RB26 with stock turbos can't really run without any valves, stuff will break, turbos will blow

Try searching for them on the cold side of the intercooler, not the hot side.

Look closer to your intake manifold.

it's fine if you have new, bb and steel-wheeled turbines.

on a 15+ year old ceramic oem turbines however, you're just adding more stress to the old fart and lead to premature death.

No bov sounds better IMO. I'd leave em off if you don't have any. If you're cheap and worried about turbo condition, put a good one on, otherwise... Chuchuchuchu!!

I can send videos of my before and after bov if you like.
