  • Skyline GTR R32 Front Seats - Question

I have a 1990 Nissan Skyline GTR R32, and the front driver seat is ripped. I would like to upgrade to a new set of Bride/Recaro/Sparco seats.

So here is my question. as far as i know aftermarket seats wont come with any rails to mount in my car. How easy/or is it do able to take the rails from my stock seats and put them on a aftermarket set?

if so, how would i go abouts to do so?

Any information about all of this please let me know.

    thanks in advance!!

it would be easyer to buy rails for the new seats.
they sell a/m rails for a/m seats.

New rails won't cost that much. Maybe 400 altogether
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

Buy side mount seats. That way you can adjust seat height. Bride low max seats are awesome

I had the same idea as you, but it appears the 'top half' of the rails are part of the seat frame. i.e. not possible to bolt to another seat. but, i'm not 100% sure.
          oh hai!

Is there any way to take the seat bracket off of the stock seat rails? I have a pair of Recaro's from an Integra lying around my basement with rails installed and seat bracket too, but the bracket is obviously for the 'teg so it won't fit my r32 but it would come off easily to bolt on a different bracket of course. Is there anyway to take the bracket off the stock seat or would I have to go buy another bracket for my skyline (240sx or r32, doesn't really matter to me it'll work either way) Also, how much higher do aftermarket seats usually sit as I'm just over 6' and close to the roof as it is, and I'll need room for a helmet.
