So I recently started installing coilovers on my R33 and lowered it a bit. I have only had time to install the rear coilovers so far but I have some very noticeable negative camber. The height at the rear is 355mm from the center of the wheel to the fender, the front will also be brought down to this height. My coilovers don't have any adjustment for camber and from what I have read camber can't be adjusted on Skylines with something simple like a camber plate. So now I need to get some adjustable control arms, I have been looking at some Whiteline and Cusco stuff. To those of you with experience with this what do you recommend? I want to spend as little as possible on this but don't want to cheap out on crappy parts. I will continue searching but any advice you could give me would be appreciated!

Ams performance, google them. Best bang for buck adjustable arms front and back/ tension rods.
I recommend getting a wheel alignment after you get your coils on and at the height you want.
Yes the first thing on the list for spring is to get an alignment done, things are sure to be out of whack

Yes Ams motorsports, there Canadian site. You will see there Z/ skyline section for parts.
I have all the adjustable arms on my Gtst for over a year now and have got 2 alingments already. Life is so easy and car handles better/ tire contact has improved greatly.Traction is optional, so are zipties

I also have had the alignment done twice, a few weeks apart. The rear tires hook up unbelievably well, not sure if it's the contact or rubber but it sure as hell helps. General handling is incredible too, it's nice having a car that handles like a go kart.
Even newer cars feel like they have too much body roll or "give" in them. Skylines spoile you lolR33 GTST RB25DET series 1

Here is the whiteline link http://www.whiteline.com.au/do_segue...1%2F93-12%2F98
I didn't see anything on AMS for the R33 GTR either, they have the Z32 stuff which is compatible with the R32 and thats it.

Like said above, lowering car so tyres are on the arches causes alignment problems (need adjustable upper arms) and can have lower arm problems (need to fit roll center adjusters on stock lower arms so they don't sit flat).
Ikeya Formula adjustable arms (I think they have inbuilt roll center adjusters) for R33 GTR -

The simple, cheap fix is to raise the ride height of car, as stock arms are ok until you go past a certain ride height. Ride height plays a role in oversteer, understeer, braking, etc. I would consult an alignment specialist that deals with racecars, as they usually know what ride height you can get away with and can corner weight the car, etc.Last edited by Skym; 12-30-2011, 07:44 AM.RESPONSE MONSTER

Thanks for the info Skym, I am not going that low only 355mm from wheel center to fender on the front and back. This height gives me a space of 38mm from the tire to the fender so there is plenty of room. Right now the camber is -0.5 in the front and -2 in the rear, the whiteline arms allow me to adjust up to +/-1 in the front and +/-2.5 in the rear. I am thinking of raising the front to 365mm to keep the same height difference of 10mm at stock.
