  • R32 ls1

Well I am bored and need something to play with. So I got another GTR chassis and I'm going to put a LS in it. Figure it will be a decent daily driver.

Has anyone put a LS into a R32 and kept the stock power steering rack? One of the main problems is where the starter on the LS is for RHD cars.

Okay flame away. However any info is appreciated for the non haters.

Honestly I think thats wicked. I'm on my third Rb26. Fully built this time. If it lets go again I'm dropping an ls in my GTR too.
Dang! You got shocks, pegs... Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

Odd project. Why not import a V8 holden? Or put a Nissan V8 in it?

Since you're losing the awd though, what are you doing for transmission? Are you tubbing out the rear to allow wider tires since you'll have minimal traction or just putt around with skinny 265s?

one of my buddies put a ls6 into his silvia drift car. his only problem was the starter getting in the way of the steering. what he ended up doing is going with a mini starter

Okay ya I figure the starter was going to be an issue.

Nissan V8's are BIG and WIDE. I thought about a titan for a long time but then trans become a HUGE issue to swap. Also the titan pretty much would have to be standalone as the ECU controls many things like the auto trans. The LS1 comes with a wicked trans T56 (6speed and 500whp capable) as well as the engine harness is independent of the chassis harness.

The rear I haven't thought about too much yet since its just a daily I will run 275's on decent tires and join the 240 club with less traction. I still have my other built GTR when I want a AWD fix!
