  • Spongy Brakes on GTR. Need advice!

Just took my car out after it has been sitting for two years. Drove for a couple of days and everything was good. All of a sudden one day I lost my brakes completely. Pumping didn't help. Checked the reservior for fluid lost, but there was none. Next day brakes started to come back and now I have full brakes about 50% of the time, and really spongy brakes the rest of the time.

I believe it is the master brake cylinder (so does my mechanic). Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and can make an educated guess as to whether or not it would be the master brake cylinder. Thank you.

    Try a full bleed, first.

I would recommend replacing the master If you cannot find any leaks.

Sounds like the booster, using the brakes with no fluid in the reservoir will for sure wreck the seals inside the bore.
