  • blowing fuses! help!

so i hit a bump, lost all electrical and then finally figured it was my 75 amp main fuse, i then bought another and replaced it, thought it could have just been a tired old fuse, but no. i kept driving, accelerated through a left, the road was rough and it blew again so i knew it was not right. i then replaced it again and got a little sideways, forgetting about my cars condition, and it blew again =(. its gotta be a short somewhere right? *note that i installed my own deck* as i did with my truck and it seemed normal, everything worked and then i was driving and hitting a couple bumps and my deck would shut off, then reboot. weird. deck harness?? thoughts?

    thanks, mychal.

    Surely a short somewhere.

How did you wire the deck? solder, butt connectors, twist & electrical tape?

You need to check resistance between the wires. So I would start BETWEEN the 2 connectors that you played around with before the issue arose. Remember ignition off! Can fry your DVOM if not careful

    Hope that helps
