Quick question....any ideas why i would be getting higher oil temps but my coolant temp is staying ok? Slight bubbling in turbo lines after cool down as well. Appreciate any help
Thanks

What is the reading on your oil temp? The bubbling in your turbo lines do you mean the rubber pipes or your actual steel oil and coolant lines? It might be normal because it takes days for the engine bay to cool down after a good drive!
If using stock coolant temp gauge, it won't move until engine overheats. Can see accurate coolant temp via ECU.
Bubbling can mean air in cooling system. Did you bleed cooling system of air or have a coolant leak somewhere???
I noticed that bubbling sound after turning engine off is a well known problem with RB26. I think solution was to fit a coolant header tank (sits above engine, radiator and becomes the new high point). It helps to remove bubbles from cooling system that can block radiator, etc and cause overheating. RB20DET bleeder bolt / high point is on intake plenum, which is above engine, radiator.
Thanks for the replies. Oil temp climbs upwards to 110 plus after an easy drive. Cooland bubbling is heard from the tube that runs across the front of the cam cover. I am not driving it until i figuire this out

i don't seem to be losing any coolant at all. could a plugged rad do this? It looks like it is flowing but it is the same rad i had when the head gasket blew on my other engine.

Head gasket leaking (pressure test cooling system via radiator cap and look for oil in coolant, which is brown coloured coolant and milky look to oil on end of dipstick, which is coolant in oil).
Failed thermostat (late opening, feel bottom radiator hose when engine is up to temp, if cold, then thermostat is not opening).
Blocked radiator (end tank is removed / uncrimped, flow tested to see how blocked it is, rodded to clean it, end tank refitted with new gasket and has to be done by radiator specialist who has the equipment to hold end tank down evenly when refitting, knowledge, etc).
