  • Oil feed to single

I'm looking for the size of threads for the block oil feed for my new single Turbo.

    I think its m12x1.0
Do I run a banjo or direct fitting?

Any suggestions for restricting it for a Borg Warner s300sx. Full race says -3an line but apparently that's really hard to find at local stores.

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Cheers!

The last rb26 I replaced turbos on had -3AN lines but no local places could make me lines with -3AN fittings so I switched them all to -4AN and used a -4AN restrictor I got directly from Garrett. Sorry cant help with the size of threads in the block I don't remember..

It is M12 x 1.0, just run a metric to AN adapter from the block.

        Thanks guys.
Kinda of weird tho. The size was 12m x 1.25m.

I used -4 line and a -4 fitting with restrictor. The restrictor fitting came with two different size restrictors, I went with the larger .50
I think the other size was .30 which I think would have been too small.

        My sizes could be Mistaken.

Thanks again guys. Wish me luck

That is strange. When I was researching this I didnt see this 1.25 pitch but now I do. But what I have installed is a M12x1.0. Oh well whatever works I guess. For twin ball bearing turbo upgrades people typically go with the 0.8 mm restrictor. However I believe your S300sx is journal bearing hence the generous restriction requirement.

Are you referring to 0.5 and 0.3 mm restrictors? Or 0.05 and 0.03" restrictors?

3AN hose actual ID could be between 1/8" and 3/16" so perhaps you should pick a larger restrictor, especially given that this is a journal bearing.
