When did they start making the "updated" crank for the r32? My brother has a late model 92, so is that when then started or just the r33 and up?
The shitty part is that I've seen 3 oil pumps now that 2 had the oil pump gears cracked and the 3rd was ready to start cracking. I feel bad for the guys you spend $3000 or more for an engine from those jdm engine places, all those engines are ready to explode.
The only way the pump gears crack are from over revving or boucing the needle of the rev limiter. If you don't drive like that than it's probably ok but with these cars who knows what the guy or guys before you drove it like.Comment

Pretty sure the oil pump was fixed feb 1993. Idk if that was cars assembled after then or cars made available then.Victory is on the horizon..Comment

I don't think this is any easy way to tell wether you have the updated version or not unless you remove the oil pump. Change the front crank seal and I think you can see in and tell if you have longer pump drive?Last edited by 93_jdm_fd; 09-03-2012, 07:55 PM.Comment
