  • AMS Camber parts from Z32 ... fit or not?

Hi, long time reader ... first time poster.

I have a 91 GTR with Ohlins coilovers and stock pretty much everything else under there. 18 x 8.5" wheels with 245/35ZR Falkens. Not looking to make the ride any harder than it already is but think I'd like to fix the camber issues front and rear and shop for some new tires.

I'm looking at this kit from AMS. They say it will fit with very minor mods. Anybody else fit these parts to their GTR and have any major issues with fitment or quality?

AMS is Canada's premier tuner and parts developer/provider for Nissan Z vehicles (300ZX, 350Z, 370Z), Infiniti G vehicles (G35, G37), and the Skyline GTR (R32, R33, R34, and R35 GT-R). AMS also specializes in performance tuning and OEM servicing of all Nissan and Infiniti brand vehicles.

    Thanks for any help !

Thanks for the reply! From what I have researched, the Z32 fuca's and ruca's fit the GTR no problem and only the tension rods are different.

Can anybody with a GTR confirm this?

      thanks!

I am using all the AMS arms on mine. So they worked. I am sure I am using the z32 fuca and ruca. I am not sure the tension rod is but just give them a call I am sure they can give you the right thing.

S13/S14/Z32 RUCA's fit, but have odd clearance problems sometimes. I had to flip mine upside down or something to make them clear my teins.

AMS fuca's fit. I have some chinese ones that are identical and are total garbage. The locking rings are the main issue. The "new style" ones on ebay all use different locking rings or actual locking nuts and are probably WAY better, I will get some this winter for sure.

UCAs will fit, but the tension rods won't, R32GTR tension rods are bent

true, the tension rods work on mine but its been said they dont work on gtr, but the front and rear camber arms shouldnt have any problems. i have the rears and fronts on mine, but i got a gts, only problem is the rear doesnt remove enough camber to reach 0 if your super low, had to get custom.

i have this same package on my car 94gtr, been running the kit since 2009 with apexi n1 coilovers, initially wanted jdm stuff but for the price you cant deny it as a candidate. fuca had to be twisted 180degrees as opposed to fitment on a z32

for the front tension arms make sure u get the wider spacers (ams supplied)which fit into the heim joints. r32gtr has a wider slot than s13. oh also the heim joints develop play due to corrosion, there are boots but they ripped over time

i wish the lock rings were made better they loosen if you hit a really hard pothole and the bearings required replacement 2 yrs in.
                  ruca have no issues

but hey if you have the money go ikeya formula or moonface, there stuff looks topnotch in quality

                  hope this helps

Great info guys, thanks! I Picked up the fuca's, ruca's and tendion rods a couple of days ago. The guys at AMS were great and they setup the tension rods with larger cones and longer studs. They pressed out the shorter ones and pressed in the longer ones while I waited. They seemed to have some good GTR knowledge and said they have installed this combo of parts on a few GTR's with no issues.

Looks like great quality kit for the money. Now, I just need to find some time to actually install and get a new alignment done.
