  • Help Removing Intake Manifold

Im trying to remove my intake mani. i think i have all the bolts off. Just don't want to start pulling on it if theres a hidden bolt somwere..

-anyone know if theres a diagram of this?
-anyone know of any hidden bolts anywhere?
-any tricks to make it come loose and have it pop off?

    Thanks!

Pry it off lol. But in all reality it's probably going to be a little stuck being sealed on there for 20 years

They are a lot less flexible than you think. Try to get at them if you can and it'll make it easier. This is probably one of the most annoying jobs this car. I pulled the motor instead lol

LOL, first time took around 5 hours, now I can do it in 20 minutes.

Theres 1 bolt at the back bracing the brake/clutch booster lines that usually people don't see. Other then that you should have 12 nuts from the manifold to head, 2-3 bolts for fuel lines, 4 for vacuum block, 2 for brace for brake/clutch boost lines.... thats all off memory, I may be missing 1 or 2!!!

                    This might help.

Upside down but you can see here all the bolts you need to remove.

remove bolts, leave a couple in loose and with a hammer just give it a tap or two. should come loose without much effort.
Leaving a couple bolts in place will just let it come loose and anything that's caught in it wont fall and get swallowed by some crevice
